Below the input is text encoded with an XOR Cipher. Input guesses for the key into the input box and hit guess (or hit enter on your keyboard). The text will change to the text decoded using the entered key. The goal is to use the correct key, revealing the original text. The color scheme follows that of xxd. When you win the page will turn green.

Green and yellow are ASCII text. Generally the solved puzzle will be all green and yellow (and also be intelligible English). However, Alice in Wonderland contains some unicode characters, so just because some bytes are red doesn't mean it is necessarily wrong.

Try frequency analysis: the most common character codes are 0x65 (e) and 0x74 (t). Capital letters and lowercase letters differ by 0x20.

There are four normal difficulties: Easy, Standard, Hard, and Cypher's, based on guessing keys comprising random bytes. Lexicon mode switches things up by making the key a word (note that in lexicon mode you enter text directly instead of entering hex)
